The arrival of a child is a big change for your relationship. And many couples fail to maintain enough connection and attention for each other. You can lose track of each other, or get into an argument about how you do things. You may feel alone, insecure, or like you can never do it right.
This training can help you get closer together in a short time.
WHAT IS IT?
A ‘Hold me tight’ training helps to improve your (partner) relationship. By following training, most participants develop a deeper emotional connection with each other. You learn to look differently at the patterns in your relationship. You learn to stop negative patterns and you learn to recognize and discuss underlying emotions and needs. You get to know yourself and each other better. All this ensures more peace and a healthier balance in your relationship.
The training consists of two days and a return afternoon. It is a practical application of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) developed by Sue Johnson. The training is also called an APK of your relationship and is not intended as relationship therapy. If you need couples therapy together, you can of course also contact us.
The following topics are covered in the training:
– the role of emotions in love and connection and attachment
– learning to recognize and break through (destructive) patterns, what keeps going wrong?
– deal with difficult moments in the relationship in a different way.
– build a safe and stable basis for discussing difficult things.
A maximum of 5 couples participate in the training. The training is set up in such a way that there is a joint part, interspersed with conversations alone with your partner in a secluded place in the room. During the training we work with video material and exercises. We will not discuss individual ‘problems’ in groups.
