RELATIONSHIP THERAPY

Unintentionally, we can end up in negative patterns with our partner and that can have a lot of impact. We get stuck in recurring quarrels, silent war, or, on the contrary, can drift apart. Through Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) you get to know and change the negative patterns in the relationship. So that you can be connected stronger and more securely.

FAMILY THERAPY

Can’t get a grip on your child, or is it difficult to get in touch? As a parent, you can feel quite powerless. Attachment-oriented family therapy can offer a solution. We offer Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). EFFT focuses on breaking destructive patterns in the family and increasing safe emotional connection between parents and children. This brings peace to the family and a good bond between parents and children.

HOLD ME WORKOUTS

Do you not need therapy, but have some breaks in the connection and do you want to prevent it from getting worse? Then a Hold Me Tight training is the answer.

We have developed 3 specific training courses:

  • for parents with young children
  • for parents with teenagers
  • for parents in a blended family

ADDITIONAL TRACKS

  • individual conversations about relationship questions
  • body-oriented sessions to increase awareness in relationships
  • trajectories aimed at trauma processing (EMDR or sensorimotor psychotherapy)
  • conversations for relationships at work

inspired by the ‘hold me tight’ method of Sue Johnson.

EFT stands for Emotionally Focused Therapy . It is a scientifically proven method based on attachment theory and our human needs in intimate relationships .

EFT is like a journey of discovery where you get to know each other (and often yourself) better. You learn to see what influence you have on each other and what your behavior triggers in your partner. You are learning to understand why you do what you do . Our behavior is driven by emotions. EFT helps to get to that deeper level and learn what you actually need in moments when you are being touched by your partner. With EFT you will learn to create a solid foundation from which you can move forward together.

Hold Me Tight for parents with young children

The ‘young family’ is an important stage. A foundation is laid for the development of the children. They benefit greatly from a close relationship between the parents. However, the arrival of a child is quite a change for your relationship. And that is not always easy.

Do you have children under the age of 10 and do you recognize this? Then this training can help you get closer together in a short time.

The arrival of a child is a big change for your relationship. And many couples fail to maintain enough connection and attention for each other. You can lose track of each other, or get into an argument about how you do things. You may feel alone, insecure, or like you can never do it right.

This training can help you get closer together in a short time.

WHAT IS IT?
A ‘Hold me tight’ training helps to improve your (partner) relationship. By following training, most participants develop a deeper emotional connection with each other. You learn to look differently at the patterns in your relationship. You learn to stop negative patterns and you learn to recognize and discuss underlying emotions and needs. You get to know yourself and each other better. All this ensures more peace and a healthier balance in your relationship.

The training consists of two days and a return afternoon. It is a practical application of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) developed by Sue Johnson. The training is also called an APK of your relationship and is not intended as relationship therapy. If you need couples therapy together, you can of course also contact us.

The following topics are covered in the training:
– the role of emotions in love and connection and attachment
– learning to recognize and break through (destructive) patterns, what keeps going wrong?
– deal in a different way with difficult moments that have occurred in the relationship.
– build a safe and stable basis for discussing difficult things.

A maximum of 5 couples participate in the training. The training is set up in such a way that there is a joint part, interspersed with conversations alone with your partner in a secluded place in the room. During the training we work with video material and exercises. We will not discuss individual ‘problems’ in groups.

Hold Me Tight for Parents in Blended Families

In blended families, the love between the partners is built on a foundation of loss. Complex feelings and dynamics often play a role. You have to deal with ex-partners and with each other’s children. With different habits in upbringing. That can loosen up a lot and put pressure on the relationship.

Do you want to learn how to develop together within these complex dynamics the security and trust we need in romantic relationships? This training is a gift for the whole family.

In blended families, the nuclear family has been separated and, for example, feelings of failure, rejection and uncertainty may be present. In addition, the relationship is challenged time and again by the (emotional) presence of ex partners. And the children will have to deal with your new partner, and you may have to deal with his or hers. And the different habits in upbringing. That can loosen up a lot and put pressure on the relationship.
